Western Swing Band: Typically 4 to 6 pieces featuring Bill on vocals, guitar, fiddle, trumpet, tenor sax, and flute. Bill's wife Sandie Smallwood also sings and plays keyboard. This group includes bass and drums and can be augmented by other instrumentalists (fiddle, steel guitar, trombone, trumpet, etc.).

The Band performs a variety of western swing and "classic" country as well as jazz and swing standards and original material by Bill and several of his Texas Hill Country songwriter friends.

Is this a cowboy band masquerading as a jazz combo, or is this a jazz group trying to play Country and Western? The answer is yes. Bill and the band easily shift from Ernest Tubb and George Strait to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
